Our Claytonrite glazing window rubbers are designed to hold the Perspex or glass into your boat, car or van. This section has 3mm and 1.2mm-1.6mm gaps for either your glass or panel but is universal so can be used either way around. This glazing window rubber will seal approximately -1mm. For example, you can fit a 2mm-3mm glass into the 3mm gap, but we would not recommend fitting anything thicker than 3mm as this may cause water ingress.
The web thickness between the two gaps is 5.8mm. This stipulates how much smaller your glass should be on all four sides in relation to the size of the hole / aperture.
We manufacture this product from high quality EPDM which is a rubber compound suitable for extreme environments and weather conditions. This material has a good modular resistance to most substances and is a strong and robust material to securely hold the window into your boat, car or van.
You will need a filler strip (sold separately) to apply compression onto the glass and panel. It is also recommended that you bed the rubber in with a clear silicone sealant, such as S138.
