Rubber U Channels

Rubber U channels are flexible sealing and edge protection products that are manufactured with a rounded or square bottom. They can be used for sealing aluminium window channels or protecting edges on panels, doors and glass. The flexibility of these products allows them to conform to most surfaces and provide a reliable barrier that reduces the chance of water ingress. They are also manufactured from impact resistant rubber materials that aid with the protection of fragile surfaces, such as fibreglass, glass and plastic. This makes these rubber U channel profiles indispensable for automotive, marine and industrial applications.

These sections are available in a range of sizes depending on your specific requirements. For edge protection applications, you can identify a suitable replacement by measuring the thickness of the panel where the seal will be fitted. To seal an aluminium window channel, you will need to measure the internal dimensions of the channel and thickness of your glass or Perspex. We recommend that you secure rubber U channels onto the panel edge or into the window channel using a Polyurethane or Silicone sealant.

Most of our rubber U channels are manufactured from EPDM which demonstrates excellent resistance, durability and resilience to environmental factors such as weathering and UV. As the operating temperature range of EPDM is between -40°C to +120°C, these products can be used with confidence in indoor and outdoor extreme temperature applications.
