Rubber U Channels (Ribbed)

Rubber U channels with ribbed fins are often used on marine vessels where you need some tolerance on the internal width of the channel. In a similar way to ordinary U channels, they are used to seal glass in Aluminium window channels. To ensure that you purchase the correct size product, you will need to measure the internal dimensions of the channel and the thickness of your glass or Perspex.

It may be necessary to bond the section into the channel using a good quantity polyurethane or silicone sealant. This will fill the additional space in the channel and tightly hold the section in place.
