Rubber U Channels (Square)

Unlike other U shaped sections, these flexible rubber U channels are manufactured with a square bottom that allows the section to neatly fit inside square channels. They are often used in fixed windows on boats and some older vehicles to securely hold the glass pane in place. They are available in several different sizes designed to fit the internal dimensions of your channel and thickness of your glass or Perspex.

Rubber U channels with a square bottom are also commonly used for edge protection applications where you need a robust material to protect the edge of fragile panels, equipment or other machinery. The square base allows for the uniform distribution of stress by offering a level of protection to the underlying surface. This is ideal for applications where the edge may come into contact with bumps or other impact.

As these products do not contain a self-gripping spine, it is often necessary to bond them in place using a good quality adhesive or silicone sealant.
