This flocked lined window rubber is suitable for sliding windows on boats, caravans and cars that need to retain a waterproof seal. It is preformed into U shape that fits directly into the channel or window frame. This section fits into a channel measuring 14mm wide by around 14mm high. We recommend using a 4.5mm to 6mm thick Perspex or glass.
Flocked lined window rubbers are coated with a high quality flocked lining to allow the window to easily slide within the channel. Unlike standard U channels, the flocked coating allows the window to glide without friction or rubbing.
We manufacture this product from high quality EPDM which is a rubber compound suitable for extreme environments and weather conditions. This material has a good modular resistance to most substances and is a strong and robust material to securely hold the window into your boat, car or van. This item is manufactured in 15 metre coils. For example, an order for 25 metres would be supplied as 15 metres and 10 metres.
The seal should fit neatly into a 14mm by 14mm channel. However, we recommended that you bed the rubber in with a small amount of silicone sealant, such as S138 (sold separately), if your channel is slightly wider than 14mm.
