This plastic reinforced edge trim is designed to fit onto a 1mm to 4mm panel edge. It is 14.5mm high by 10mm wide. It is commonly used as a decorative trim to help protect the edge on panels, doors and glass. This edge trim can be fitted onto a range of different materials such as sheet metal, fibreglass, glass, wood and polycarbonate.
It is manufactured with a self-gripping plastic spine so will hold itself in place without the need for additional adhesive. This plastic spine is advantageous in some applications due to its non-conductive and non-rusting properties. It is also more flexible and lighter than similar sized steel reinforced edge trims but still able to hold its shape and withstand impact.
We manufacture this product from high quality PVC which is a compound suitable for a wide range of everyday and industrial applications. This material has a good resistance to most substances including most chemicals, oil, fuel, UV, air and ozone. This product is around the same hardness (67° Shore A) as the rubber on a car tyre and has an operating temperature range between -20°C to +60°C.
