Plain Sponge Sheet (Expanded Neoprene)

Plain sponge sheet is available in a selection of thicknesses and supplied in 2 metre by 1 metre sheets. Manufactured from expanded neoprene, this closed-cell sponge material does not absorb water and can be used for making watertight seals on boat hatches, lockers, car boots, enclosures, and cabinets. Unlike sponge strip that is cut to pre-determined widths, our sponge sheet can be used in its large supplied form or cut into smaller pieces and used to make custom sized gaskets.

Our plain sponge sheet is supplied without an adhesive backing so will need to be bonded in place using a good quality adhesive. It can be stuck to most clear grease free surfaces, such as metal, wood, concrete and plastic. We recommend using a good quality contact adhesive (such as A262) if there is a large amount of water present.

Expanded Neoprene is a soft flexible material that has excellent a resistance to UV, air and ozone. The operating temperature range is between -40°C to +100°C.
