1/2 Round Sponge Cord (Expanded Neoprene)

Half round sponge cord is manufactured from expanded neoprene and can be purchased by the linear metre. This closed-cell sponge material does not absorb water and is suitable for making a watertight seal on lockers, car boots, enclosures, and cabinets. Expanded neoprene is a versatile material that has excellent resistance to UV, air and ozone.

Half round cord is available in a range of sizes depending on the required application. The height of the seal is half of the base dimension. For example, a seal that measures 10mm across the base is 5mm high. As this product has a flat bottom, it can be bonded onto most clean flat surfaces. We recommend using a good quality contact adhesive, such as our A262, if there is a large amount of moisture or water present.
