Solid Silicone Rubber Strip

Solid Silicone rubber strip is available in a range of widths and thicknesses and is supplied in a 5 metre roll. This white flexible rubber strip is an ideal material for sealing and edging applications, especially where temperatures up to 200°C are expected. Solid Silicone can be easily cut with a sharp knife so can be used to make custom-sized gaskets. This material can be bonded to most clean and grease-free surfaces using a good quality sealant such as our clear silicone sealant or white silicone sealant (available from our website). 

Solid Silicone is slightly softer than solid Neoprene with a shore hardness of 55-65°sh, which is similar to the hardness of a car tyre. It provides a good resistance to most substances within most industrial settings but is not recommended for applications that may come into contact with oil or fuel. The operating temperature range of Silicone is between -50°C to +200°C so can reliably be used in environments that experience very low or very high temperatures.
