Rubber Edge Trims
Rubber edge trims contain a metal reinforced spine that allows the section to hold itself onto the edge of a panel without the need for additional adhesive or mechanical fixings. Commonly used as safety edging to protect sharp and uneven edges, rubber edge trims can also be used for decorative purposes to apply a neat and visually appealing finish to untidy panel edges. Manufactured with a metal core, self-gripping trims are able to hold their shape and withstand impact, protecting the underlying surface.
These products are available in a selection of sizes designed to fit different panel thicknesses. They can be easily applied to most surfaces that are a consistent thickness, such as fibreglass, glass, sheet metal and wood. To identify a suitable rubber edge trim you will need to measure the thickness of the panel that the trim will be fitted to. This ensures that you purchase a section that tightly grips the edge but is not too small for the actual panel thickness.
