Motorhome & Caravan Other Window Seals
Although most modern motorhomes & caravans are fitted with double glazed opening windows, older vehicles often have a single layer of glass encapsulated within a metal frame. These windows use smaller opening and sliding window seals to prevent water ingress and keep your vehicle warm and comfortable. Over time these seals begin to perish and become less effective so should be replaced.
Sliding windows use flocked lined window rubbers that allow the glass to easily glide in the channel without friction or rubbing. These seals are usually inserted into the aluminum channel that is fixed to the wall of the motorhome or caravan. Sliding windows are also fitted with a vertical seal that seals the gap between the different window sections. Opening windows are fitted with seals that push into the keyway slot in the window frame and compress to create a water and airtight seal when the window is closed.
These seals are suitable for older opening and sliding windows. Click here to view our range of double-glazed opening window seals for modern motorhomes and caravans.
