Silicone & Expanded Neoprene Skinned Sponge Strip

Manufactured from either white expanded silicone or black expanded neoprene, skinned sponge strip is available in a selection of widths and thicknesses. This selection allows you to choose a section that not only matches the colour of existing hardware, but install a product suitable for the size of the gap you are looking to seal. These products can be used for sealing hatches on boats, caravans or machinery and other equipment.

Silicone skinned sponge strip has an excellent resistance to low and high temperatures. This makes it suitable for extreme temperature applications within the medical, pharmaceutical or engineering sectors. Our expanded neoprene skinned sponge strip is marginally softer than similar sized silicone equivalents. They are manufactured with central holes to aid compression which allows for the product to be installed in situations where there is not a large closing force.

These products can be bonded onto most clean flat surfaces using either a contact adhesive or silicone sealant, depending on the chosen material.
