Motorhome & Caravan Insert and Filler Strips
When replacing the window rubber on your motorhome or caravan we recommend that you also replace the insert strip or filler strip. This enhances the overall appearance of the window rubber, restoring it to a like-new condition and guaranteeing that every aspect of the new seal is completely watertight. The insert strip or filler strip you require depends on the type of window rubber being replaced.
Double glazed opening window rubbers use an insert strip, also known as a cover strip, to hide the staples holding the seal onto the motorhome or caravan. As a decorative trim, this product is available in grey, white or black allowing you to match the colour of other fixings and fixtures on your van.
Fixed windows that use Claytonrite style window rubbers use a filler strip, also known as a locking strip or beading, to hold the rubber in place and apply compression onto the glass and panel. This product is available in black, chrome or white and is available in several different sizes depending on the specific Claytonrite window rubber being purchased.
