Automotive Edge Trims
Automotive edge trims are used on classic, vintage and modern vehicles within the automotive industry to protect edges on sheet metal, polycarbonate, fibreglass and glass. As a semi-flexible product, edge trims can be bent around gradual corners on bonnets, boots, dashboards, doors and wheel edges. This provides a level of safety protection that protects the underlying surface from bumps and impact, but also reduces the chance of injury as a result of contact with sharp or uneven surfaces.
Manufactured with a self-gripping metal reinforced spine, automotive edge trims are able to hold themselves onto the edge of a panel. This allows
you to remove and reuse the section multiple times, whilst also strengthening the
section and reducing the chance of damaging the underlying surface. Edge trims
are available in a selection of different sizes designed to fit different panel
thicknesses. To identify the best replacement product, you will need to measure
the thickness of the panel edge on the vehicle where the trim will be fitted.
