Over time the seals around your windows and doors compress, perish and become less effective. Replacing these seals helps prevent damage to your home by minimising drafts and water ingress. This bubble weatherseal is designed to be used as a replacement seal in your timber frame on doors and casement and sash windows.
This product can be adhered to most surfaces using its adhesive backing, however it also could locate into a 7mm wide by 1.2mm deep keyway in your frame. It seals gaps between 3mm to 5.2mm when the window or door is closed helping keep your home air and watertight. The bubble allows for larger closing forces compared to other flipper seals. This product is black but also available in brown and white.
The rigid foot is manufactured from high quality Polypropylene with a self adhesive backing, and the bubble is manufactured from Silplex (TPE). Both of these materials offer excellent deflection recovery allowing the material to return to its original shape when the window or door is opened. This product is resistant to most paints and varnishes, and is not affected by mould, mildew, rot or fungi.
This item is manufactured in 50 metre coils. For example, an order for 70 metres would be supplied as 50 metres and 20 metres.
