Over time the seal around your caravan, motorhome or campervans battery box will deteriorate, split and become less effective resulting in potential water ingress and leaks. This seal measures 17mm wide by 8.5mm high and is designed to replace your existing battery or locker box seal. The barbed foot pushes into a channel in your frame to hold itself in place.
We manufacture this product from high quality EPDM which is a rubber compound suitable for a wide range of everyday and industrial applications. This material has a good modular resistance to most substances including most chemicals, UV, air and ozone but is not recommended in environments which may come into contact with oil or fuel. EPDM is around the same hardness (70° Shore A) as the rubber on a car tyre and has an operating temperature range between -40°C to +120°C.
We recommend finding the end of your existing seal and checking the profile shape and size matches this product. If you would like help identifying a replacement seal, please send us a photograph of the end profile / cross section of your current seal.
