Porthole Rubber Strip

Our Porthole Rubber Strip is available in a range of widths and thicknesses and is supplied in up to 2 metre lengths. This semi soft rubber is commonly used for sealing brass and bronze port lights and vents on boats and other marine vessels. It is manufactured from an off white natural rubber so has low UV resistance.

Porthole Rubber Strip is around the same hardness (40-45°sh) as a pencil eraser and has a good resistance to water. The operating temperature range is between -20°C to +70°C.

For plastic and Aluminium port lights we recommend that you use an Expanded Neoprene seal (available from our website).
