Watertight Door & Hatch Seals
Our watertight door and hatch seals are used in heavy duty watertight doors, hatches and skylights with multiple latching points. They are used on large ships and marine going vessels such as cruise ships, oil tankers and Naval ships.
These combination seals comprise of a solid outer rubber on three sides with a cellular sponge core bonded to the solid rubber faces. The solid outer rubber strengthens the seal whilst the internal cellular sponge offers great recovery from compression and creates a water tight seal. The two bottom corners are chamfered to enable the seal to securely fit into the channel allowing for welds in the channel itself.
Our Watertight Door and Hatch Seals are available in a range of different sizes and are manufactured from solid natural rubber and sponge natural rubber. We are also able to manufacture these seals using Neoprene rubber which allows for higher temperatures and ozone resistance or Nitrile rubber which is gas and oil resistance. Please contact us to discuss you requirements.
Most of our watertight door and hatch seals are kept on the shelf for next day delivery. However, some sizes are manufactured to order on an extended delivery timeframe.
