Rubber Tadpole Seals

Tadpole seals get their name from their distinctive tadpole-like shape that features a round bulb with a long flat tail. Manufactured with a round hollow bulb, tadpole seals easily compress to create a reliable watertight seal that minimises the chance of water ingress. They are ideal for sealing hatches, doors, flood gates and using as piping between panels on classic and vintage cars to create a neat sealed joint.

We manufacture our tadpole seals from EPDM and PVC with different diameter bulbs and flanges. Both of these materials are suitable for use in outdoor environments that may subject the seal to weathering, UV radiation and extreme temperatures. It is possible to bond the flat tail onto most surfaces, such as plastic, glass, metal and wood to securely hold the section in place. We recommend using a good quality waterproof contact adhesive, such as A262.
