Timber Flexible Flipper Seals
Flexible flipper seals, also known as W series weatherseals, are designed to be used as replacement seals in timber frames on windows and doors. They are ideal for timber casement windows and narrow tall windows. Replacing your existing seal when they start to deteriorate is essential for preventing damage to your home, saving you money and keeping you warm and comfortable
These flexible flipper weatherseals are designed for easy insertion and fit directly into the timber frame. Compared to similar products, the flexible lip allows for lower closing forces and creates a reliable air and watertight seal when the window or door is closed.
Easy insertion flexible flipper seals are available in a range of colours and sizes, depending on the size of your frame and gap you need to seal.

What size flexible flipper seal should I use to seal my window or door?
Our easy insertion flexible flipper weatherseals are available in three different sizes, 12mm, 15mm and 18mm. This measurement refers to the height of the seal and allows you to purchase a section that will sit flush with the top edge of the frame. To identify the best replacement section, you will need to measure the height of the frame from the top of the groove.
These products are designed to be fitted into a groove in your window or door frame. This groove will need to be 5mm wide by 8mm deep. All of these sections seal a gap between 4.5mm and 7mm.
How do you fit a flexible flipper seal?
Timber flexible flipper seals are designed to be pushed into the groove around the frame on your window or door. You need to ensure that this groove is clean, dry and free from dirt or debris before inserting the seal. Cut the seal to the required length and gently push it into the groove all the way around the frame ensuring that the V of the flipper faces away from the external edge of the window or door.
It is important to make sure that the seal does
not sit proud or too low within the groove as incorrectly positioned seals can
create an area for water to sit. Once the seal is correctly positioned, use a
staple gun to secure it through the back to the edge of the frame.
