Timber Bubble Seals
Bubble seals are designed to be used as replacement seals in timber frames on windows and doors. They are ideal for timber casement windows and can also be used on the top or bottom of sash windows. Over time the existing seals around your windows and doors may have compressed, perished or become less effective at keeping water and draughts out of your property. Replacing these seals is essential for preventing damage to your home, saving you money and keeping you warm and comfortable.
These timber bubble seals fit directly into the timber frame and create an air and watertight seal when the window or door is closed. The rigid foot is manufactured from high-quality Propylene which contains flexible fins that spread into the groove and help hold the seal in place. They can be easily cut to the correct length using a pair of scissors.
Bubble seals are available in a range of colours and sizes, depending on the size of the gap you need to seal.

What size bubble seal should I use to seal my window or door?
Our timber bubble seal is available in three different sizes, depending on the size of the gap you need to seal. To identify the best replacement section, measure the gap between the door or window and the frame. This will allow you to purchase a seal based on the size of this gap.
- A 5mm bubble will seal a gap between 2mm and 4mm
- A 6mm bubble will seal a gap between 2mm and 5mm
- A 8mm bubble will seal a gap between 3mm and 7mm
These products are designed to be fitted into a groove in your window or door frame. This groove will need to be 2.5mm to 3mm wide by 6mm deep.
How do you fit a timble bubble seal?
Timber bubble seals are designed to be pushed into the groove around the frame on your window or door. You need to ensure that this groove is clean, dry and free from dirt or debris before inserting the seal. Cut the seal to the required length and gently push it into the groove all the way around the frame. Test the window or door by gently opening and closing it to ensuring a smooth operation and closing movement.
