Motorhome & Caravan Edge Trims with Side Seal

Edge trims with side seals are commonly used within the motorhome and caravan industry to seal lockers, habitation doors and other enclosures. As well as protecting sharp and uneven edges, the sponge sealing bulb helps create a reliable watertight seal that keeps your van warm and comfortable.

These sections consist of two parts; a metal reinforced edge trim and compressible sponge sealing bulb. The edge trim contains a metal spine that strengthens the section allowing the seal to hold itself onto a panel edge without the need for additional adhesive. It can be fitted onto most materials commonly found on motorhome and caravans, such as fibreglass, glass, metal, wood and plastic. The sponge sealing bulb is located on the side of the section and is manufactured from sponge rubber so compresses when the door or lid is closed.

To identify the most suitable product you will need to measure the thickness of the panel that the edge trim clips onto, as well as the diameter of the sealing bulb on your existing seal. We recommend compressing the sponge sealing bulb by approximately 30% to minimise the chance of compression set.
