Motorhome & Caravan Edge Trims with Lip Seal

Edge trims with lip seals can be used within the motorhome and caravan industry to seal lockers, hatches and other enclosures. Unlike side seals and top seals, these products feature a vertical or horizontal lip that squashes against the closing door to create a watertight seal. As the lip can be located on either the top or side of the section, it is possible to select a product that seals no matter of the closing direction. The lip can be bent up, down, forward or backward.

As these products contain a metal-reinforced spine, they do not need bonding and can be removed, replaced and reused multiple times. As well as tightly holding the section onto the panel edge, the metal-reinforced spine helps strengthen the section and protects the underlying panel. This metal core is flexible so can be bent around gradual corners around the edge of the motorhome or caravan enclosure.

To identify a suitable product you will need to measure the thickness of the edge that the edge trim will clip onto. You will also need to make an assessment as to whether you require a product with a lip on the top or side of the main trim.
