This rubber section is 15mm by 16mm and supplied by the linear metre. It is designed to be used on a Jaguar E Type as a bonnet seal (BD20903). Although the primary use of this seal is within the Jaguar automotive industry, the unique profile shape makes this section ideal for other classic or modern vehicles or bespoke industrial applications.
It can be bonded onto most clean flat surfaces such as metal, wood and plastic. We recommend using a good quality adhesive such as S136 or A262 (available from our website).
We manufacture this product from high quality natural rubber which is abrasion and tear resistant, resilient, and has a high tensile strength. This material is excellent for creating a watertight seal for heavy duty doors and hatches but is not recommended for environments which may come into contact with chemicals, oil or fuel. The optimum operating temperature range for this product is between -20°C to +70°C.
