Agricultural Seals & Trims
Agricultural tractors and machinery use rubber seals and trims for sealing windows, doors and safety edging. Due to the harsh, wet and dirty environment your existing seals may have weathered, deteriorated or been damaged from frequent use. There is no way to restore or rejuvenate rubber once it has deteriorated so replacing these damaged seals is essential to keep your vehicle watertight. Seals Direct supply a large range of rubber seals and trims designed for agricultural use on tractors, hoppers and other agricultural plant machinery.
Our rubber seals and trims are often used on older tractors where window seals and door seals need to be replaced. However, we have also supplied seals, safety edging and rubber sheeting for machinery such as hoppers.
Common Agricultural Seals & Trims
Window Seals
Older
tractors typically use Claytonrite or S shaped window rubber seals on fixed
windows. These sections are available in a range of sizes with either the
black, chrome or white filler strip.
Opening Window Seals
Clip
on edge trims with side seals are sometimes used on opening windows. Our large
range of profiles will allow you to select a replacement seal which fits the
required panel thickness.
Door Seals
Agricultural
vehicles are fitted with a rubber trim with sealing bulb designed to stop water
ingress. These trims either have a top or side sealing bulb, and are available
in an extensive range of sizes to suit most applications.
Edge Trims
Safety
edging, such as edge trims, are frequently used on agricultural equipment to protect
sharp edges on bonnets, doors and other panels.
Sponge Seals
We
stock a large range of sponge seals available in a variety of shapes and sizes.
Sponge seals are often used on tractors to stop bonnets rattling whilst driving
down bumpy tracks and fields.
Adhesives and Sealants
Adhesives
and sealants are often used to bond two surfaces together. They can be used to
make flexible joints or secure sections into channels. We offer a wide
selection of products designed for different applications.
Materials
We manufacture all of our agricultural seals and trims using high quality rubber compounds to ensure they provide a long lasting sealing solution. The majority of our agricultural seals are manufactured using commercial grade EPDM. This material is available in either sponge or solid and offers good UV stability and resistance to weathering, essential for vehicles and machinery kept outside.
Bespoke Agricultural Seals & Trims
We offer a bespoke design and manufacturing service if your sealing requirements cannot be met by one of our standard products. Our 3D CAD facilities allow us to work directly with Design Engineers to identify the best sealing solution for your project. We are able to reverse engineer your existing seal and extrude an exact replica in a variety of materials, colours and hardnesses. Minimum production runs are as low as 30 metres depending on the required material and construction.
Seals Direct are also a leading supplier of bespoke mouldings and gaskets. Depending on the seal and application our rubber mouldings are manufactured using either compression or injection moulding in a variety of materials and hardnesses. We are able to stamp bespoke gaskets from both sponge and solid materials from one off to large production runs.
