Skinned Sponge Strip (Expanded Silicone)

Our Expanded Silicone Strip is a closed cell sponge material which does not absorb water and is suitable for making a watertight seal on boat hatches, lockers, car boots, enclosures, and cabinets. This material is also suitable for both plastic and aluminium port lights and vents on boats and other marine vessels. It has a smooth skin on all 4 sides and is available in a range of sizes. It can be bonded onto most clean flat surfaces using a good quality silicone sealant such as our S137 or S138 (available from our website). Expanded Silicone is suitable for very low or very high temperatures. The operating temperature range is between -60°C to +200°C.
