This rubber section is 28mm by 7.3mm and supplied by the linear metre. It is designed to be used on a Morris Minor as a lower door seal. Although the primary use of this seal is within the Morris automotive industry, the unique profile shape makes this section ideal for other classic or modern vehicles or bespoke industrial applications. This seal is designed to slide into a channel. It should hold itself in the channel but can be further secured using a good quality adhesive (S136) or silicone sealant (S138). These products are available via our website. We manufacture this product from high quality EPDM which is a rubber compound suitable for a wide range of everyday and industrial applications. This material has a good modular resistance to most substances including most chemicals, UV, air and ozone but is not recommended in environments which may come into contact with oil or fuel. EPDM is around the same hardness (70° Shore A) as the rubber on a car tyre and has an operating temperature range between -40°C to +120°C.
